Today, we celebrate our nation’s independence!
In 1776, we separated ourselves from Great Britain. The American Revolution marked the birth of a nation that has stood the test of time.
However, this freedom comes with a price. Many men and women have died so I can live in a free nation. I can have this podcast and share my views about Christ because I live in a free land.
I have rights that protect my speech and religion, and I never want to take this for granted.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to live in this great nation. I can’t entirely agree with all my elected leaders' decisions, but I am called to do one thing.
I am called to pray for them.
Do I always do that? Nope.
Many of you know, I love to take pictures of headstones in cemeteries all across the United States and around the globe.
Some of the most precious photographs I have are from Arlington National Cemetery. On the one hand, it is sad that we have to dedicate acres and acres to those who sacrificed for our freedom, but on the other hand, we celebrate what they did for us as Americans.
Arlington National Cemetery is a place of honor, along with all the other national cemeteries and graves of those who fought so that I can live in a free nation.
Today, I am grateful for all those who came before me and made it possible for me to live in this great nation. Thank you for your sacrifice.
And to all of our men and women serving in our military and as first responders – thank you for your service. I stand with you as you answer the call to protect our nation and its allies.
Land of the Free, and Home of the Brave! God Bless America!
